Art should be a statement. Of anything. Art should stimulate emotions and create dialogue. Art should move the planet further into the future. It should show the world new angles on old topics. It should open ones eyes to alternative dimensions. Yes, Art is the heartbeat of humanity. At least this is how I think when working on my paintings and outsider clay dolls. My intention through these pieces is to create new experiences, to throw my two-cents in to the vortex of current affairs so as to make those folks who view my work to engage, ask questions, wonder, and perhaps find their own vocabulary through my work. It's about participation.
