Statement: 
Whether it be oil painting, making images with beeswax and pigments or printmaking, I am interested in people and the ongoing struggle for happiness.  I want my work to make people happy.  

Resume: 
I am a photographer, painter, print maker and a retired U.S. diplomat and a family physician. I learned about the ancient process of encaustic painting when visiting Fayoum, Egypt. I combine this ancient art form with digital photography, merging the very old and the very new. I studied Medicine at the University of Colorado and studied print making at Singapore's Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts. My training and experience as a Family Physician gives me a unique perspective and an eye for recognizing subtle variations. I have exhibited at American Embassies in Thailand and Singapore and at galleries in Southeast Asia and Santa Fe.
