I am a photo-based mixed media artist who is drawn to metaphorical imagery. I’m interested in creating images that are more interpretive than literal. They are not really about rendering a subject but about capturing a feeling or mood. I started out as a painter and I approach photography like painting. I take different elements that I have photographed and combine them to make a digital collage which I then print, embellish, and mount onto panels and either coat with resin or an archival sealer.
