I work with encaustic-an ancient Greek technique created with beeswax and resin and the fire of a torch. I see my images as visual poetry and the exploration of the interplay of the senses layered with scrims of images and color. Emotionally romantic and sensory experiences as well as sensitivity towards nature and the planet, filter through my daily activities and work in my studio-as a woman and as an artist. I seek to fuse history and modern using tools of the earth.
