I began painting plein air and in the studio in my twenties while raising three kids, obtaining a PhD in clinical Psychology and establishing a private practice and completing my boards. Through all that painting was my therapy and still is. Over the years I've worked to loosen up and paint more freely, so my work is largely abstract/expressive now. In my mind I'm still painting the beautiful NM landscape and have just moved to more of an emotional expression of the light, colors and long distant views that make NM so enchanting.
